In this tutorial, we can see how to replace the gear knob in the Alfa Romeo Giulietta, an extremely simple and fast operation. First of all, let's go inside the cabin, then we remove the cover of the original knob by levering along the inner side groove. Next, we unscrew the fixing bolt using a socket wrench, remove the base of the knob, insert the replacement, and reassemble everything following the reverse procedure. Make sure that the reverse gear engagement mechanism spring is properly positioned and functioning correctly.

First of all we open the front door, on the driver's side, and start pulling the opening lever of the engine hood, in order to open the lock; then let's move to the front of the vehicle and unhook the tab that we find on the central part, above the manufacturer's emblem, as shown in the video. At this point we block the bonnet with the lateral rod; then we accompany the bonnet down to close it again!
