How to change the battery on an Audi A3 version 8p

Model: Audi A3 MK 2, 8P - Years 2003-2013

In this video we can see how to change the battery in an Audi A3 version 8P: we open the hood; the battery is located on the right side of the engine block and to remove it we will have to remove the fixing plate using a 13 extension ratchet. Then we can remove the plastic cover that covers the battery. Remember to always disconnect the battery from the negative terminal, which is the black one, and always keep it well away from the battery to avoid accidental reconnection; remove the plastic battery protection and then disconnect the positive terminal. Now we can take the handles and remove the battery. Sand the terminals with sandpaper to remove oxidation, then coat the contacts of the new battery with copper grease, then we can put it back in place, covering it with its side protection. Connect the positive terminal, then the negative one and finally put back in place the fixing plate and the plastic cover.
