How to Reboot the Audi MMI System

Model: Audi A3 8Y, MK 4 - Years 2020-2026

If your Audi's MMI system is lagging, freezing, or malfunctioning, a simple reboot can resolve the issue without deleting data or settings. The procedure is quick and requires no tools. Turn on the instrument cluster (position 2, without starting the engine). Place two fingers on the clock indicator on the central display and hold for a few seconds until the screen goes blank. At this point, the system will reboot and enter 'engineering mode'. From here, you can choose to reboot the system normally or explore diagnostic options (updates, key activation, version information). To return to normal operation, select the reboot option and wait about 20 seconds. The system will reboot completely. The reboot does not delete any settings or personal data. A useful trick to resolve minor slowdowns.
