Disassembling the turbo is not a complicated job, although patience is required. It can be done calmly, with appropriate breaks, and can be performed in your own garage if you have one. Raise the car on jack stands, disconnect the intercooler if you have one in the original position, unscrew the clamp on the intake tube, disconnect all the water and oil lines from the turbo, and remove the three nuts holding the turbo to the up-pipe and the three bolts on the flange so you can pull the turbo away.

When reassembling, be careful with the oil line because if you move it too much, you risk breaking it.
