How to Change the Remote Battery on an Audi A3

Model: Audi A3 8P, MK 2 - Years 2003-2013
Part: Key

If pressing the unlock and lock buttons on the remote key does not activate the locks, it's likely that the remote battery has run out. To replace the battery in this key model, do not separate the remote shells; instead, there is a cap on the back of the key. Simply lever in the slot at the base of the cap to detach it and access the battery compartment. Remove the old battery and insert the new one, ensuring correct polarity before replacing the cap.
