How do you change the battery of an Audi A3 remote key? Let's see how to change the key battery. Take your remote key and use a screwdriver to pry open the plastic casing of the key. Pry until the back cover separates from the casing, then remove the worn battery with a screwdriver. Refit the cap on the remote key casing until you hear it click into place. Check the remote's functionality by testing the door lock and unlock buttons. Use a new battery of the same type and voltage as the one previously removed.
