On the Audi A6, the fuel door may get stuck, for example, due to a failure of the actuator or the control button. In these cases, you can still perform an emergency opening by following the procedure shown in this tutorial.

First, open the trunk. Then, remove the small storage compartment located on the right wall and locate the red cord.

Next, grab the cord and pull it towards you to unlock the latch. At this point, you can refuel and repair the faulty component.
