On an Audi A6, the fuel door may get stuck due to a malfunction of the control inside the cabin or its actuator. In this case, you can perform an emergency opening of the door by following the simple procedure shown in this tutorial.

First, open the trunk, then remove the right side panel and locate the red cord. Grab the cord, pull it toward the rear of the vehicle, and unlock the latch.

At this point, you can refuel and replace the damaged component.
