To change the motor oil of a BMW R1100 RT, start with the motorcycle positioned on the center stand and make sure the engine is at room temperature. Locate the drain plug under the engine base and unscrew it using a suitable wrench, allowing the old oil to completely drain into a proper container. After cleaning the plug and the surrounding area, reattach it making sure it is securely tightened. Remove the oil tank cap and pour in the recommended new oil, following the specifications and quantity indicated in the owner's manual. Check the level with the dipstick and start the engine for a few minutes to verify proper operation and the absence of leaks.
