To replace the battery on the BMW R 1150 RT, loosen the screws securing the seat to its housing so that it can be removed correctly. Once the seat is removed, detach the side panels on the left and right sides of the bike to access the battery located directly beneath the fuel tank. Remove the battery from its housing by disconnecting the power cables and loosening its securing bolts. When the old battery is removed, insert a new one and reassemble all the removed parts.
