Let's discover how to change the coolant or antifreeze on a BMW F650 GS in simple and quick steps. First, place the motorcycle on its centre stand and start unscrewing the drain screw located on the water pump casing; let the old coolant drain into a container.

At this point, screw the drain screw back in and remove the cap from the expansion tank; now top up with the correct type of new coolant: fill to the level and start the engine, topping up again if necessary!
