To replace the oil seal of the final drive on a BMW R1200GS, you first need to remove the rear mudguard. At this point, engage first gear and remove the rear wheel, as shown in the video, and then remove the brake caliper. Now you can remove the plug that holds the oil in the final drive and the other plug shown in the video to drain the oil completely. Next, you can remove the cover of the bevel gear assembly, under which there will be a metal ring and a gasket that need to be replaced. Once the replacement is done, you can reassemble all the previously removed parts.
