How do you replace the battery in the BMW C 650?

In order to replace the battery of the BMW C 650 you have to loosen the screws that secure the front fairing of the bike: these screws will be positioned immediately under the windshield. Once they have been loosened, it will be possible to go and detach the fairings and loosen the other screws located above the handlebar. By loosening these screws, it will be possible to detach the right side fairing of the bike, under which the battery will be located. The latter can then be removed from its housing by unscrewing the fixing bolts and disconnecting the power cables. After the removal it will be possible to insert a new one.

First, the fuel cap has a water drainage hole, which must be positioned in a specific way, namely with the half moon towards the driver's seat, as shown in the video. The second thing is not to turn off the engine when the Start & Stop function is active: the engine will only start by pressing the start button; it can be done in reverse, when the engine is idling. The third thing is not to adjust the spring preload too often, and when you do, support the tool with your index finger.
