In this tutorial, you will see how to change the oil in a BMW R1200RT. First, warm the oil slightly by taking a short ride, then position a container under the engine and unscrew the drain bolt. Once all the oil has drained, unscrew the filter using the appropriate tool and insert the replacement along with a new gasket. At this point, tighten the drain bolt, unscrew the top cap, and proceed to fill with new 15W-50 oil, as recommended by BMW. In total, you will need about 4 litres of oil.
