How to Change the Engine Oil on a BMW G310R?

To change the engine oil on a BMW G310R, start by positioning the bike on a flat surface and ensure the engine is warm but not too hot. Locate the oil drain plug and remove it using an appropriate spanner. Place a collection container under the oil drain plug on the oil sump and unscrew the plug to allow the used oil to drain out. Once the draining is complete, refit the drain plug.

Remove and replace the oil filter using an oil filter spanner. Apply a little new oil to the seal of the new filter before installation.

Fill the engine with new oil through the filler cap until it reaches the recommended level. Check the oil level using the dipstick and add oil if necessary.

Refit the oil filler cap and ensure it is securely tightened. Start the engine and check for any oil leaks.

Finally, check the oil level again and add oil if necessary.
