In this tutorial we can see how to replace the engine oil in the BMW R1200 GS, an extremely simple and fast operation. First of all, make sure that the engine is cool enough, then remove the lower protective cover and place a container underneath the motorcycle. Next, locate the drainage hole bolt, unscrew it using a 10mm hex key, and let all the oil in the system drain out. Then unscrew the old filter, tighten both the replacement and the bolt, and pour in the new oil through the appropriate hole.
