How to reset the error indicator CC ID 71 on a BMW 3 Series E90

The CC-ID 71 warning light on this type of car indicates that there is a problem with a bulb, often a brake light or position light. Before resetting the warning light, check and replace the faulty bulb. Once you have done this, turn on the ignition without starting the engine, use the button on the windshield wiper lever to scroll through the error messages and hold it down for a few seconds to reset. If the warning light does not disappear, an OBD2 scanner may be needed to clear the error. If the problem persists, check the bulb holder and fuses. If everything is okay but the error remains, there may be a loose connection, so checking the wiring may be helpful. If you do not feel comfortable performing the initial DIY procedure and trying to make the warning light disappear, contact a trusted workshop.

How to Replace the External Wing Mirror on a Ford C MAX
