Before resetting the rear light indicator, address the physical issue by checking and replacing the bulbs, or inspecting the sockets and contacts or fuses. If everything is in order, the system needs a reset shock: go to the trunk, locate the electrical connector for the rear light assembly, disconnect it and wait about ten seconds, then reconnect it securely.

Restart the car and check. If it doesn't work, reset from the battery by disconnecting the negative terminal for about 15 minutes.

This resets many control modules, but you will need to re-enter several personal settings afterward.

Replacing the Gear Knob on the Mercedes Sprinter MK 2

With regular use, the gear knob on the Mercedes Sprinter may show signs of wear that necessitate its replacement. To carry out the replacement, sit in the driver's seat, and using a pair of pliers, rotate the knob left and right to unlock it. Grip the knob and gently pull it off while ensuring that the spring mounted on the lever does not get lost. Take the new knob, align it with the gear pattern, tap it on gently, and finish inserting it using a rubber mallet.
