Removing Front Seats on BMW 5 Series E39

Model: BMW Serie 5 E39 - Years 1995-2003

Slide the seats forward as much as possible for better access. As shown in the video, remove the T50 Torx screw that secures the seat at the bottom, then detach the upper part of the seat "rails". Remove the bolt that secures the bracket of the aforementioned rails (repeat this on both sides of both seats). Now slide the seats back to expose and remove the other bolt that secures the brackets, which should now be nearly free. Remove the small side clips and pull out the seat belts, disconnect the small battery located under the passenger seat, and you're done.
