How to Replace the Mirror Glass on a BMW 1 Series

If you are only changing the mirror glass and not the entire structure, the procedure is very similar across all cars and, moreover, quite simple. To remove it, simply lever with a plastic tool between the glass and the mirror structure. It will tilt and come out of its seat. Disconnect the two wires (related to the mirror heating), insert them into the new glass, and fit the new glass by aligning the plastic clips into the appropriate slots of the housing. It's a very straightforward job! Ensure it is securely fixed so it does not detach when encountering bumps or potholes.
