How to Replace the Glass and Trim Panel of the External Mirror on a BMW Series 1 F20?

This guide shows how to replace the glass and cover of the external rear-view mirror on BMW Series 1 F20. The first step is to position the mirror so that it points upwards and towards the upper outer corner. At this point, use a trim removal tool to apply force at the lower corner of the mirror to unclip it. Disconnect the electrical wires and remove the glass. Remove the three fastening clips of the trim panel to take it out of its seat. After installing the new glass and new trim cover, check the correct operation of the mirror.
