To replace the indicator bulb on a BMW 1 Series, you need to lever with an object so that the glass of the rearview mirror is extracted from its housing: once the glass has been removed, you can also detach the outer cover. This way, the screws securing the light unit on the mirror can be loosened: by disconnecting the connector, you can remove the light unit and pull out the bulb inside. The new bulb should be inserted into the light unit, repositioning it on the corresponding mirror.
