How to Replace the Indicator on the External Mirror of a BMW 1 Series

Before you start, exit the cabin of your BMW 1 Series and head to the external rear-view mirror. Begin by unclipping and removing the mirror glass using a thin but sturdy tool. Next, unclip and remove the cover. This will expose the screws that secure the indicator to the mirror, which you need to unscrew and remove. Once you have removed the screws, extract the indicator from its housing, disconnect the electrical connector, and remove the indicator itself, completing the disassembly. To fit the new indicator on your BMW 1 Series, follow these instructions in reverse, and the replacement will be complete.
