In this tutorial, we will see how to replace the exterior mirror cap on the BMW 1 Series, a very simple and quick operation. Start by standing in front of the mirror in question, then, using a preferably plastic spatula to avoid leaving any marks, pry along the entire perimeter of the cap. Once dislodged, separate it from the rest of the mirror and position the replacement, which can be pressed firmly inward. If you need to replace the indicator as well, simply remove it from its housing.
