Tips for Removing the Expansion Tank

This tutorial provides some tips explaining the procedure to remove and replace the expansion tank from a BMW 5 Series. First, remove the screw that secures the tank. Next, take off the fan cover by removing the plastic clip that holds it in place. Also, remove the long plastic gasket along the edge of the cover. To remove the vent tube, loosen and remove the clamp that secures it, and pull the tube towards the expansion tank. Additionally, the tube must also be disconnected from the tank side.
