Removal and Reinstallation of the Radio Unit
Model: BMW X5
E53
- Years 1999-2006
If you own a BMW X5 with a factory radio, this tutorial shows you how to extract the radio unit and, after repairing it, the procedure for its reinstallation. First, pull the volume knob gently but firmly towards you to remove it. Get a small tool shaped like a screwdriver but with a pentagon-shaped tip and insert it into the slot (shaped like a pentagon) revealed after removing the volume knob. Turn counterclockwise while simultaneously prying in the side slot of the radio with a plastic spatula. This will allow you to extract the radio unit. Disconnect the electrical connection by pressing its lock downwards. After repairing or replacing the radio, restore the electrical connection and reposition the unit back to its original location.

How to remove the rear light on a Fiat Grande Punto? In this guide, learn how to replace damaged bulbs: open the boot lid, unscrew (with a socket spanner or screwdriver with insert) the fastening screws located at the sides of the rear light; once the light is free from any constraints, detach it from the bodywork (disconnect the respective connectors for the bulb power supply). Replace the damaged bulbs with identical size and voltage parts. Finally, refit the rear light and reverse the assembly of the other parts. by ScegliAuto More videos
