How to reset the Service light on the BMW 3 Series?

Model: BMW X3 MK 1, E83 - Years 2003-2010
Part: Service warning light

To reset the Service light on the BMW 3 Series, press and hold the button located on the left side of the instrument cluster, just below the tachometer. While holding it, insert the ignition key into the ignition switch and turn it to the on position. After a moment, you will see that the light will be correctly reset and the maintenance interval will be restored. To verify that everything has been done correctly, turn off and then turn on the instrument cluster.
