Let’s see how to easily replace the shell of the remote for a Chevrolet Suburban. You can find it - even in color - on Amazon for $20.99. First, disassemble the old one, from which you will extract the chip and the battery. A small screwdriver will suffice (avoid using the car key) to separate the two plastic parts. Now, remove the chip from its housing and place it in the new shell. Do the same with the battery. (If you want to check with your multimeter to see if it’s still good, this would be a great opportunity). Now, just close it up. Great job.
