To replace the battery inside the key of your first-generation Chevrolet Tahoe (1997-2000), use a flat-head screwdriver. Simply insert the tip of the remote into the small slot on the side of the cover and apply a little force to fully open it. Next, remove the existing button battery and insert the new one. Refit the cover correctly, and the procedure is successfully completed.
