Today we will see how to adjust the handbrake of a Kia Sportage (2016-2022). Let's start the operation by opening the armrest and removing the bottom with the help of a small flathead screwdriver as shown in the video, then we also remove the inner panel on the side of the handbrake to access its adjustment nut. Once this is done, we just need to rotate the nut clockwise with a key to increase the tension of the handbrake, or alternatively, loosen its tension by turning the nut counterclockwise.

Once the cable tension is adjusted, we close everything following the reverse procedure.

How to Activate the Disabled TRC on the Toyota Yaris?
