While it is not a common occurrence, it does happen to need to decode the key for your vehicle for various reasons. There are specialised assistance centres that, using specific equipment, connect to the vehicle via the OBD port with a cable, configure the car model, read the code to copy, and install it into the transponder of the spare key, or a blank key. Confirmation that the operation has been successful is indicated by the engine starting, as well as being able to lock and unlock the doors remotely.

Replacing the Gear Knob on the Renault Espace

The following steps will show you how to remove and replace the gear knob of the manual gearbox on the Renault Espace. First, get in the vehicle and start by removing the small upper cover of the knob; to remove it, simply pull the gear knob upwards with force to detach it from the lever, as shown in the video. At this point, remove and replace the gear gaiter if necessary, installing the new one; finally, insert the new gear knob, securing it properly onto the lever (ensure there is no play between the lever and the knob).
