Operation: How does the Highway Driver Assist system work on the Citroen C5X?

Let's see how the Highway Driver Assist system works, a level 2 semi-autonomous driving system by Citroen C5X: it is capable of adjusting the speed and direction of travel using a combination of advanced driving assistance systems. It automatically sets the speed and trajectory, in conjunction with adaptive cruise control, start & stop system, and overtaking warning system. It is particularly suitable for highways and expressways. This system works if the adaptive cruise control and start & stop system are activated. Therefore, you must press the two corresponding buttons, which will light up in green when they are operational. If the button light turns orange, it indicates a malfunction. If you want to deactivate this function, press this button again. Of course, you are the one who keeps the steering wheel in the correct position. The system only makes corrections that maintain the position of the vehicle. When the vehicle in front of you slows down, your vehicle will adjust its speed to match the preceding vehicle, until it comes to a complete stop. If the preceding vehicle starts again within three seconds, your vehicle will also do so automatically, otherwise, you will have to do it manually by pressing the accelerator.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
