Removing and Reattaching the Armrest in the Dacia Duster Prestige

Model: Dacia Duster HM, MK 2 - Years 2017-2024

To remove the driver’s armrest in the Dacia Duster, start by removing the cap using a small screwdriver from inside the knob on the armrest pivot. Remove the knob itself. Unclip the elastic of the seat cover, then open the latch and detach the plastic hook of the cover. At this point, you can push the armrest pivot out with a suitable tool and remove the armrest. Now, using a drill, you can remove the reject (as shown in the video images). Turn the lumbar mechanism in the direction indicated in the images and slide it out. Also, slide out the cable. Now, cut the pivot flush with the mechanism and 50 mm from the other end. After finishing, using the drill, the inside of the pivot, cut a suitable "Fisher" plug, 75 mm in length, insert it into the pivot hole, and insert the previously cut pivot into it. Insert a screw, approximately 70 mm in length, into the plug and tighten it well. Remove the cover and re-screw the screws without it. Finally, reassemble everything following the same operations seen but in reverse order.
