Replacing the Engine Air Filter

Model: Daihatsu Terios J100, MK 1, F500 - Years 1997-2005
Part: Air filter

Open the front bonnet and ensure it is securely supported: the engine air filter is located at the top, in the centre of the engine.
Then unclip the closure fasteners of the cover located on the sides and remove it: extract the old air filter along with the gasket, free the old filter from the gasket and insert the new one.
Ensure there are no residues inside the filter housing (remove them if necessary), then apply the new filter ensuring the gasket adheres properly, reposition the cover and reclip the side closure tabs.
