On the DS4, it is possible to monitor air quality.

On the DS4 (if equipped with an appropriate trim), a system is available that monitors and displays air quality, called AQS (Air Quality System), which detects external pollutants such as nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, and hydrocarbons. The information is displayed on the digital head-up display or on the central touchscreen (depending on the configuration and model). An icon is shown along with a quality index and a color indicator (green/yellow/red). A message may also appear suggesting to activate the air recirculation when a high level of pollution is detected outside. It can operate manually or automatically (if equipped) so that the car automatically manages the climate control and recirculation based on the detected quality, to protect the occupants.

If the central locking system of the Volkswagen Golf 4 is not working, it is likely necessary to reset the system: to do this, open the driver's door and detach the side panel of the dashboard next to the steering wheel.
