The engine oil present in the Ducati Hypermotard system can be replaced by loosening the drain plug of the oil pan, which is located in the central lower part of the vehicle. Once the oil has completely drained out, it must be collected in a container placed nearby: next to the drain plug, there will be the oil filter, which can be removed from its housing and replaced with a new spare part. Once this part has been installed, it will be possible to top up the oil by inserting the new oil into the breather located on the right side of the motorcycle's crankcase.
