Routine maintenance includes changing the engine oil and oil filter; here's how to do it on a Ducati 848. First, drain the engine oil by unscrewing the oil drain bolt located under the engine; let it drain into a container for about ten minutes. Next, unscrew the oil filter cartridge with the appropriate tool, replacing it with a new one (screw it in by hand and tighten gently); finally, pour in the suitable new engine oil, using the quantity specified in the owner's manual!
