To replace the air filter on the Ducati Monster 796, you need to loosen all the screws securing the fuel tank at the front of the bike: once the tank is completely free of screws and connectors, it can be removed from its housing. This will allow you to locate the filter box underneath: this can now be opened by sliding the filter out from its seat.

You can then close the box again and reposition the tank at the front of the bike.
