First, you practically have to dismantle the entire bike to access the centre of the motorcycle, then check all the valve clearances, both opening and closing, inspect the throttle body, and clean the injectors; additionally, the bike must be completely stripped to change the coolant, and the entire front end must be disassembled to change the suspension fluid; the entire timing belt must be checked with a special tool.

Naturally, you need to change the oil and filter, and in general, the checklist of services to be performed during this type of intervention is extremely long: for example, the chain must be removed and completely serviced, all filters and belts changed, and brake fluid replaced.

Essentially, the bike is almost completely taken apart and rebuilt.

How to Reset the Service Light on the Gilera Nexus 500
