To remove the steering wheel from the Fiat Punto, loosen the screws located at the lower rear of the vehicle to detach the central airbag from its housing. Once the airbag is removed, loosen the nut underneath that secures the steering wheel to the centre of the column.

At this point, the old steering wheel can be completely removed, and the new one can be inserted. Secure it in place with the central steering wheel nut, and finally, reposition the airbag.
