How to Remove the Door Panel on a Fiat Grande Punto

To remove the door panel on a Fiat Grande Punto, first remove the window switch. This will be clipped in place, so gently pry between the panel and the switch support using two flathead screwdrivers. Once the window switch is detached, disconnect the power connector secured with a plastic tab. After removing the window switch, proceed to unscrew the various fixing screws scattered across the panel. The first screw will be hidden under a small plastic cap located inside the opening handle, which can be removed with a small flathead screwdriver to access the screw for removal. Next, you will find two more screws visible beneath the panel handle and another five along the bottom edge. All seven screws must be removed to continue with the disassembly. Now, there will be no more screws holding the panel, but it will still be secured by plastic clips along the side and bottom perimeter. To release them, pry between the panel and the door, using plastic trim tools or alternatively a flathead screwdriver, taking care not to damage the surfaces by using tape. Once all the clips are released, lift the panel upwards to detach it from the rail at the top, then disconnect the handle opening cable, which is secured to the panel with a clip and to the handle with a lever. A bit of leverage will be needed to detach it. Finally, only the tweeter connector next to the handle will remain, which must be disconnected to fully remove the panel from the car.
