How to Remove the Gear Knob from a Fiat Grande Punto

Is the gear knob on your Fiat Grande Punto damaged? Here’s how to remove and replace it. Hold the knob and turn it to the left; unscrew it until it is fully detached from the gear lever. Use a plastic lever to disconnect the leather gaiter at the top, then detach it from the bottom (if it needs replacing). Fit the new leather gaiter using clips (if removed), then take the new knob and push it onto the lever in the centre console until it is secured. Test the movement of the lever in the centre console to ensure the knob is correctly fitted. Check in multiple places to ensure all parts are assembled accurately.
