Replacing the Gear Knob on a Fiat Grande Punto

Want to replace the gear knob on a Fiat Grande Punto? First, grip the knob on top of the gear lever and unscrew it until it comes off. Remove the leather gaiter from the edge of the centre console using a plastic lever. To reassemble, take the gaiter and slide it onto the rod on the centre console, then fit the new knob and screw it on until fully tightened. Install a knob identical to the original or a generic brand. Check that all components attached to the knob are correctly fitted.
