How to remove the door panel of a Ford Escape?

To disassemble the door panel of a Ford Escape, start by lowering the window completely to facilitate access. Use a plastic tool to carefully remove the plastic covers that hide the mounting screws, generally located near the door handle and along the bottom edge of the panel. Use an appropriate screwdriver to unscrew these screws. Next, locate the snap fasteners that secure the panel to the door and use a plastic tool to gently pry along the edges of the panel, releasing the fasteners one by one. Once all fasteners are released, lift the panel upwards to disengage it from the door. Be careful of the electrical cables connected to the panel for controls such as windows and mirrors. Carefully disconnect these cables before completely removing the panel. The panel is now free and can be removed to access the internal components of the door.
