In this video, we will see how to replace the gear knob on a Ford Focus MK3; a quick procedure without special tools. To remove the old knob, grip it and pull it upwards firmly. Inside, there is a threaded spring: by unscrewing it counter-clockwise, you will hear the click of the spring, which is normal. You can find the new knob, for example, on AliExpress with the code 1005007129265551 for £3.64 plus £1.62 for shipping. Insert the knob and screw it in by hand clockwise. The last turn will be tighter; adjust the orientation to align the gear numbers.
