How to Replace the Rear Light Bulbs on a Ford Ecosport

To replace the rear light bulbs, you must first physically remove the light from the vehicle. Open the access flap located on the carpet inside the boot near the light to be removed. Once the flap is open, you will see a plastic screw that can be unscrewed by hand. After removing the plastic screw, proceed to unscrew the two screws located on the innermost side of the light, which are usually hidden by the boot closure. Once removed, the light should come away easily. At this point, you will have access to the rear of the light where the power connector is attached, and there will be a rubber seal that needs to be removed by gently prying it with your hands. Once the seal is removed, you will find three screws that need to be unscrewed to access the bulb holder. The bulb holders are the standard type found on almost all vehicles, so simply press the bulb and twist it half a turn to remove it and replace it with a new one. After doing this, you can close the bulb holder with the three screws and proceed to reattach the seal and then the light, ensuring that the guide pin on the outer edge is properly engaged. Once the light is in position, you can replace the screws removed earlier to complete the job. It is advisable to test the bulbs before reassembling everything to avoid unpleasant surprises once the job is finished.
