Replacement of Front Headlamp Bulb

Model: Ford Focus MK 1 - Years 1998-2004

The first step is to unclip the retaining spring of the bulb holder by moving it to the left. Carefully remove the bulb holder and to facilitate the operation, completely remove the retaining hook. Unclip the lamp's retaining hook and take it out carefully to avoid dropping it. Remove the bulb from the bulb holder. Refit the new bulb into the bulb holder, ensuring to align it with the reference notch for correct installation. Avoid touching the bulb with your hands. Carefully refit the lamp's retaining hook and install the assembly back into the headlamp, checking that the clips and seal are correctly in place.

If the central locking system of the Volkswagen Golf 4 is not working, it is likely necessary to reset the system: to do this, open the driver's door and detach the side panel of the dashboard next to the steering wheel.
