To remove the engine from the Garelli NOI, disconnect it from the supports that secure it in its housing. Once the exhaust pipes and various connectors are disconnected, you can completely remove it from its seat, allowing you to slide out the cylinder from the top. The piston underneath can now be detached from the corresponding conrod by expanding the retaining ring. After removing the piston, you can open the lower crankcase, accessing the additional internal components and replacing them if necessary.
