How to replace the license plate light on the Geely Emgrand. The rear panel of the tailgate must first be removed. We use plastic tools to make sure we don't damage anything. When we have removed all the clips the panel comes off without problems. We disconnect the electrical cables, remove the 6 bolts that hold the piece in place. We remove the outer seal - the one with the Geely logo - using the removal tools. Remove the bulb from the plate, put the new bulbs on - remember to never touch the bulbs with your hands, especially the led ones - reassemble the gasket with the Geely logo on the plate and put everything back in its place. We reconnect the electrical connectors and retighten the bolts that hold the piece in place. Now we can put the rear panel back in its place. Job finished.
