To replace the crankshaft on the Gilera GP 800, you need to remove the engine from its housing: loosen the bolts securing it to its mounts and disconnect all relevant pipes and connectors. This will allow you to open the engine, removing the cylinder and detaching the piston and connecting rod from the crankshaft: this will enable you to open the two side casings, allowing the crankshaft to be withdrawn from its housing and replaced with a new one. After replacement, reinstall all other removed components to ensure everything functions correctly.
